Spring 2011 Jobs Growth as Good as it Gets


ECRI's Lakshman Achuthan outlines how the cyclical slowdown that will weigh on jobs growth in coming months is taking place inside of a long-term trend since the mid 1970s of slower and slower expansions in between recessions.

The ECRI chart shows that the three month moving average of jobs growth hasn't been able to break, or maintain, the 0.7% rate over past decade.
