Eurozone Inflation Pressures Ease
ECRI’s Eurozone Future Inflation Gauge (EZFIG) ticked down in August to 98.4 from 100.1. The value of the EZFIG lies in its ability to predict cyclical turns in Eurozone inflation.
As anticipated by the earlier downturn in the EZFIG, Eurozone inflation has eased lately, ticking down to a five-month low in its latest reading. Meanwhile, with the EZFIG declining to a six-month low, Eurozone inflation pressures have faded a little in recent months.
